Lindow wouldn't be Lindow if it wasn't for the affectionately known 'Bog Army', a collection of people who volunteer their time and effort to preserve this special landscape.

Volunteering on Lindow comes in many different forms. We have our 'core' volunteers who are the lifeblood of the project. These volunteers run their own events, create various walking routes, and fight for the future of the site.

We have ad-hoc volunteers who come and join in when work parties are going on. They usually clear vegetation, pick litter and ensure that Lindow always looks it best.

We have structured volunteers who have been trained to undertake certain tasks, such as monitoring the water quality around the cut over bog.

And we have all the participants to the events, school visits, lectures, talks and more!

Thank you to all our volunteers, for everything they do!
